Initial Situation

 

During cold nights, condensation water froze in oil return and crank case ventilation pipes. In that case, the risk of an engine damage dramatically increased during the first minutes of operation of the following morning, as the proper function of those critical lines was limited.

 

Solution

 

In cooperation with an OEM, Langendorf developed a pipe heating system, which ensured the consistent heating of those pipings at particularly critical spots. Core element of this pipe heating system is Lango®therm.

 

Result

 

The risk of engine damage due to frozen condensation water in oil return and crank case ventilation pipes was eliminated. Mentioned piping systems were working properly again after a couple of minutes only.
